Lost and Found

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I have items listed in "lost and found" and do not show up with a picture..just a exclamation point (such as kids 4 for example). How do I get tem to show properly in Smart Content?

    Old products like Kids 4 do not have metadata. They were created before Daz had "invented" metadata for Daz Studio. In general, Daz will not take the time to create metadata for old products. So, you are left on your own to create your own metadata if you want the product to show up in Smart Content correctly. There are several metadata creation tutorials floating around. Do a Google search if you are interested in trying that. Otherwise, plan to use the Content Library folder view instead of Smart Content for those older products.

    I have same issue with latest version of DIM. The Nerdy Guy, G3F Rahele for Olmpia 7 etc.

    So it's not just older content?  I would think Olympia 7 not to be that old.

    I'll try the content library but if DAZ it's not there, then it can't read the install that it did.

    How did you install Rahele? Her metadata should be installed fine if you used the DIM.

    I had an issue with her when I used Daz Connect. I got a nonexisting file for Rahele listed under the Lost and Found section. I have no idea what caused this.

    Thats the weird part @y3kman it was on a new supermachine (no Daz ever) with version 4.9.4.117 and the latest DIM. Even have issues with the Nerdy Guy and that bundle was only released mid-July.

    I have this same issue with over 1600 products out of 4400+ total.  That is almost half of my library of products.  It would take me forever to edit metadata for all of these.  And a lot of these are not old products such as Aiko 6, Blackout for Genesis 2 Females, Dark Heart for Genesis 2, even Victoria 6 and 6 HD.

    I also tried uninstalling all the StudioCF and PoserCF files through DIM since I don't use Poser.  Those are all in Lost and Found as grey tiles.

    Can someone please tell me how to fix this Smart Content issue?
