4.9 Product Search Problem

Ever since I upgraded to 4.9, my searches in the Product list mostly return....NOTHING!

A search in 4.8 almost always produced results.  For example, if I type 'flats', 4.8 would search the Product list and return (mostly) shoes and an environment.

A 4.9 PRODUCT search usually fails to return a result at all- after a 100% search.

it is now very hard to locate my product when I need it.

Anyone else experience this?
