UPDATE?

I have just tried to load Genesis 8, and a sign comes up telling me I need 4.9.4.111 or later. Can you tell me where to find it?

I've discovered it is to do with DIM. I downloaded it and it took over my machine and downloaded loads of old rubbish, and somewhere is the update I think.

I don't know where it's downloaded it to, but nowhere near my Daz folders. I have always manually installed all my stuff into Directories, so I know where everything is. I know I should have told it to install where I needed it too, but it didn't give me the chance.

Anyway, I now see a page called: software/daz studio/v4.x, and this has the Update listed there, so I didn't need to have anything to do with DIM in the first place.

Right, so I click on 4.9.4.122, it takes me to a page showing me all varieties available.

I choose the Windows 64 version, and click DOWNLOAD. Up pops My Products Library, and it is somewhere in there. No heading as easy as "Up Date" there, so I guess it must be, Daz 4.9 Pro. I click on that and a small black square appears briefly with the turning circle inside it, and then vanishes, and that is it!!! Nothing happens as far as I can see. Has it done something and I've got to go somewhere else to install it??

Please please help me, through this, what should be a very simple process!!!!

If you installed via Install Manager you should see an update listed when you log-in, if you used the manual isntaller redownload it from your Product Library and run it.

Just to clarify. Am I installing just an Update, or am I installing a whole new Daz 4.9?

I really can't afford to lose all that I have on my current version!!

It's a new version of the application, it won't touch settings or content.
