Iray Question

Does anyone know why some clothes make characters' skin look grainy in the renders and other clothes render the skin clear? Same character, same angle, same light & same render settings. Literally, just a change of clothes.

are the surfaces the same, more gloss on one might cause more grain (more samples or light needed)
One possibility is that when the skin renders clear there's an area of clothing that is the last bitt o covnerge, and so the remianing noise is concentrated there; when the skin renders grainy it's because the clothes are easy to converge and so the remaining noise is concentrated in the skin. That would probably require that skin take up a relatively small area of the render.
