Need help/tip for Piercing-Object?
Hello,
i would make an piercing to my Genesis, so i have an object (piercing) that should be on the lower-lip.
I tryed to fix it to the lower-jaw and if Genesis open the mouth it look ok, but if the lip changed the Position (Morph...) the piercing goes away of ist Position.
Is there a way to fit the piercing to an polygon or should i have to make an geografting object?
I want to make a piercing-set ( upper-lip left/right/middle, Lower-lip left/right/middle, Eyebows, nose, Navel ...)
Any ideas how to fit piercings on the figure?
No i don't want to do that with maps, a ring forexample looks not good with bump.-/disp.-maps.
Thanks for Input ;)

Making it a conformer may help, but you will probably need to create morphs in the piercing to match the head morphs whatever you do. If it lines up correctly when Genesis is in its zero state making it a conforming figure is simple - Edit>Figure>Transfer Utility, set Genessi as the source and the OBJ for the piercing as the target and click Accept, then save it as a figure (File>Save as>Support Asset>Figure prop asset).
Hello,
thanks, sounds easy, i will try this.
Hello,
can you tell me step by step how to do this?
I tryed it out, load Genesis, import the Object, positioned the Object and then go to Edit>Figure>Tranfer Utility, set Genesis as Source, Object as Target and click Accept and .... AARRGGG..... The Object is now on the Floor, 30minutes fine-tuned positioning fly away... .
Whats wrong?
Also after save as figure and reload it, Genesis lost the Piercing!
please help ;-)
The object needs to line up with Genesis as loaded - in this case, you need to hide everything by the piercing, export as OBJ (with the option to exclude hidden items on so you get only the piercing) and then import that so it's in the right place to run the Transfer Utility.
ok, i will give it a try again :-) thanks!
Make sure you use the same preset when exporting and importing, to keep the scales matched.
