Resolve PC lag while rendering?

Hello Daz Community,
I was wondering if there's some kind of render settings that would help reduce PC lag while actively rendering so I can continue using my PC while I render? The scene I'm currently rendering leaves my PC unusable because it becomes sooo laggy. Generally there's a little lag for every render. I want to configure render settings so I may continue rendering(even if the process is slower) and still use my PC.
Spec information:
GPU: GTX 1080
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz
RAM: 16gb

Is the sceen using the GPU or CPU or both to render? If it's meant to be using the GPU, is it succeeding or is it falling back to CPU? You can get an idea of that by going to Help>Troubleshoting>View log after finishijng (or canceling) a render, and looking at the end - it should tell you how much the CPU and GPU did..
I render using only GPU, but I'm not too sure if it's falling back to CPU.

Here's the log. I cancelled the render instead of finishing. It's just too laggy to operate my computer while rendering. This only really happens with large scenes though with a lot of added models and props. Does this happen to everyone with large scenes?
I would, since you are using Windows do:
a) <ctl>-<alt>-<del> -> Windows Task Manager
b) choose the Details tab
c) scroll to DAZ Studio in the list
d) right click on DAZ Studio entry in the Details list
e) choose affinity with the mouse from the menu that is shown after doing the RMB
f) uncheck CPU 0 in the list of CPUs utilized by DAZ Studio
It still seems to lag pretty bad. I'm not sure why this happens when CPU is supposed to be out of the picture. Isn't it? Is there a render setting that I can lower to possibly lighten the load and possibly sacrifice render speed?
I have CPU only but I set the Set Priority to Below Normal which lets me do most things. I have had two renders going at the same time this way, one in the full version and the other in the Beta and still surfed the web at the same time.
It should tell how many iterations each device (GPU and CPU) contributed to the render.
The lag you are experiencing, is most likely due to your GPU using all of it's resources for the render job.
Keep in mind that in modern versions of windows, your whole user intrface is rendered as Direct3D objects. (very GPU dependent)
Best way to solve the issue: Purchase a second less powerful GPU to drive your monitor and not include it in Iray rendering.
This seems to make sense as I've noticed rendering with the CPU I can browse the internet without any lag whatsoever. It seems when the GPU is used is when lag happens. I thought W10 was supposed to keep some GPU in reserve, as much as 25%, someone said. Is there a way to make adjustments to this?
Oh, you don't have an AMD CPU do you?
Or if you do have an intel CPU you should use that to drive one interactive work display & the GPU to drive the DAZ & game & other heavy duty GPU work...so two monitors.
monopolized GPU is monopolized GPU if your 'interactive working display' is also on the same GPU as your rendering.
I do.
