Where does content need to be?

If I buy and install something from DAZ everything works fine but when I purchase things from other websites and have to install them myself under content library Daz Studio can never seem to find them. Now I know which directories to put them in but could there be some other problem? 

My Daz library by default was placed in public documents which is where I have been putting all my files.

    How are you installing these packs. DIM, Manually, or connect.

    manually. There wasn't any auto install for one of them.

    On a Windows system just take the Data, Runtime, and any other folders from the same level of the zip and place them in the My Daz 3D Library folder (if that's the oen you are using). You will be asked if you want to merge the folders with the oens that are already there, say Yes. Macs are more complex as, by default, they replace rather than merging folders.
