Question About the DAZ Install Manager

Hi, forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this, but I had a question about the DAZ Install Manager. I have very few complaints about it, but it has, as I understand it, downloaded a great many installer executables onto my computer, and they're taking up quite a bit of space. Would there be any adverse effects if I were to delete all of those old installers?

I really recommend you backup the installers/archive files first for future use. It's safe to delete the files found in the Download directory. Avoid the contents of the ManifestFiles since that tells the DIM the files installed in your PC.

Agreed. I would also recommend saving a copy of the installer for DAZ Studio with the version number added so you have a backup copy of your current version of DS in case you have to backtrack a version for any reason.

Once you've got your existing surplus installers dealt with, don't forget that anything new you buy and download will still be lingering on your hard drive. Start up DIM, go into the Settings (click on the cogwheel in the top corner) and I think there's a tickbox at the bottom; it toggles on and off whether the installer files are saved once each item has been unpacked from its .zip file.
