Can a 3-d scanned actual human figure in t-pose be imported as an objet file into daz

Since there has been a great deal of discussion lately related to saving character morped figures as objects, and then re-importing them to re-create them on new generation figures, i was wondering if this was possible : taking an object file of a real scanned human being, and importing it using the same methodology. i plead ignorance on this subject, so forgive me if it seems a silly question. thanks in advance for any answers!

You're gonna have to recognize the purpose of the Daz Studio software. That purpose is to build and consume "content".
So, there really is very little purpose for importing a custom mesh and rigging it, unless you're going to make it into one of their base models and sell content... which isn't really useful as that would compete with their base Genesis Male model.
Some people create custom creatures but for humans, it's really all about genesis base models.
But you certainly "can" create your own custom mesh and set it up as a posabpe figure. Bob's your uncle.
Unforutnately, if you hope to use scanned obj as morph for genesis (or daz product figure), we can not. because morph need same verex count, and almost same arrangement of original.(source shape = daz genesis figures mesh)
Morph can only move each vertex , and need to keep same vertex order, , and may need smooth relative transition.
(becaues user may hope to set moprh 30% or 15% ,then need relative smooth transition)
we need to re-make morph compatible obj from the scanned shape for genesis figures mesh manuall workflow.
or it will be perfect new figure, with daz rig and weight map. we can not use it as new morph for daz genesis figures. it is original new figure.
(we can use transfer utility, to transfer weight map and bone arrangement, it may work certain degree)
but I think, those step will be automate in future. (do not know how many years may need),
I believe, we will see such 3d products in future 3d aprication. (or game) , which can auto-convert obj shape (which not keep vertex count) as new morph target.
because actually we hope to use those scanned model shape, if we have right to use them.
