Male/Female hair compatibility question

Hello! I'm wondering how hair compatibility works for male/female. will, for example, can genesis 3 female hair usually fit genesis 3 males? what about genesis hair--since genesis doesnt seem to be categorized into male and female.

I'm looking for some long haired styles for males.

Genesis 3 will work fine. Any generation hair can be placed and positioned to the head and then parented there so you shouldn't have too much trouble fitting hair of one gender to another generation gender character
