Some textures come with options for two or more shaders (for example, DAZ Studio default shader and Elite Human Surface Shader) or options for DAZ Studio and for Poser. My guess is that you've applied one to the body, and then a different one to the face. The makeup you want should exist in another version that's compatible with the body texture you've applied.
You had applied a full mat before applying the makeup mat?
This time I put her on v4.2 and used angel body inj. and face inj. and when I added the angel makeup this is what I have now ...I don't think I understand what you are trying to tell me P.S. you can also see her hands aren't the right color either...I don't know what I'm doing
Can you provide a link to the product you're using (the Angel character or texture set)?
Here she is she came from a bundle
The INJ poses probably apply morphs but not materials, there should be an all-over mat pose that you need to apply before using any of the makeup poses.
any ideas you have would be great richard so far I have tried all of these buttons...Where would I look??
You need to apply the first pose, the one that shows in the 2nd box along on your top line, before you apply any of the various makeup poses.
Chohole; here she is with the second button from the left with out any makeup......I knew better than to start messing with studio I should just stick to Bryce....This is over my head
Do you have the Full Figure selected? It looks to me as if you have some Surfaces not Selected in the Surfaces Tab. For pre-made Mat files you do not need to select the Surface in the Surfaces Tab. Select the Full figure in the Scene tab then Check to be sure the Full Figures Surfaces are selected in the Surfaces tab. Then Apply any of the Mats. They will AUTO load into the proper places.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong (I don't own that character) but the pz2 files from your screenshot are Poser-format material presets. According to the product page, the character comes with DAZ Studio material presets too (dsb files). If a readme file was included in the download, it should tell you where to find the correct textures for DAZ Studio (the online readme is here, but it's incomplete: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/10153/start)
Sometimes the poser files will have a little scroll icon, meaning that if you load them in DAZ Studio, the correct DAZ-format settings will automatically apply, but from your screenshot that doesn't seem to be the case here.
Scott I found 2 read me's I am guessing because it was in a bundle here they are...I am so confused with this thing.....
Here are the pics with the files the figure turns a dark color when I apply the tatoos as seen in the last pic
Is there anyway to ask 4blue eyes he or she would know they made her???
Yes, you could send the artist (looks like the character was made by maelwenn, and 4blueyes was the clothing creator) a PM if you can't get it working. As far as I know, usually PAs are happy to provide support for their products.
Based on the readme, I would suggest looking here in the Content Library: DAZ Studio Formats>People>Victoria 4>Character>Angel V4. Like Jaderail said, make sure you have the entire figure selected, and not just certain surfaces (in the Surfaces tab).
The main issue is that the diffuse strength for the various parts of the body are different. For example; the Skin Face diffuse strength is set to 90% while the Skin Head is set to 100%. Also the ambient strength goes from 2% to 100% (although with the ambient colour being so dark that makes less of a difference. Just adjust all the surfaces to read 100% in the diffuse strength & you should be good to go.
Edit to add: there are DS specific material settings. In your content library; go to:
DAZ Studio Formats>Studio>People>Victoria 4>Character>AngelV4
to and click on ++AngelV4 Tex
I don't have this but I've been asking around, and if my friend is correct then you should have four installers for this, three add the morphs, textures and Poser materials, which will install into the Runtime structure, while the fourth has the DS native format presets, which if installed correctly should be under "People > Victoria 4 > Characters" in the DS native directory.
Thanks everyone for trying to help me this is getting to be really hard....
BWSman; I did what you said and everything was fine the entire body did become the same color, until i put this outfit on and the darkness came back
My Friend that's is what is Called a Second Skin. It's not really a Out fit it's just another texture. All that stuff in that folder is textures you just fix it like you did the other ones you used.
Hi bullit35744!
Are you sure you installed the DS material presets in Daz Studio from the separate installer? If you did you should see this when you open the folder where the MATs have been installed.
Isabelle
Then everything should load fine like the image below :)
