2 Questions

I was trying to use my space navigator and lost my scene. I tried to move it back to the default view but i can't figure out how. I even closed the program but it came back just where I left it.

1. How do I get back to the default view?

I purchased the victoria 8 and Lanie models as well as the Lanie bundle. I cannot get the hair to take a color and.... there is a white base cap on her head even after her skin is applied.

2. How do I color her hair and remove the white cap?

1 Select something in the scene tab. press CTRL+F. It'll focus on the selected object.

    2. Select the hair. Color options should appear in your Smart Content tab.

Is there a tech support for folks who need help? The forum seems to be hit and miss and is there a chat? or a skype channel? or a phone number?

There's not... there are some youtube videos that might be helpful.

What hair are you trying to use?

First, I strongly suggest you use the Content Library Tab since "Smart Content" isn't very smart

    1. Load the hair

    2. Select the hair (see Capture 2)

    3. See Capture 1 The Path should be Genesis 8 Female>Hair>OOT Lainey Hair>Mats>Iray . Note the Icon that says "APPLY FIRST Hair Base Material". Double click this icon.

    4. See Capture 3. This apparently makes the cap transparent and applies a base shade to the hair

    5. Double Click the shade you want to apply. See Capture 4

ok I did every step again. Still have that cap and white hair, still have white clothing

is it possible that I need to uninstall and reinstall everything including Daz?

Reinstalling is very unlikely to help.

Are you sure you are selecting the hair or clothing before applying the preset - check the Scene pane.
