Any Advise?

Bought Daz content (windows 10) but the scene lags and barely responds? Says Poser Pro version so uninstalled and now cannot even get back into the library. Seems from reseach so many diffrent ways to install Daz content but this is not model related just a scene/props?

Something labelled Poser Pro would be old - Poser pro rather than Poser 4, as there were differences in how the bump maps loaded.

  • So in other words if it says Poser Pro version that does not mean its compatible with Poser 11? Are there steps to making an older version compatible with Poser 11 interface?

I'm not sure why it would be laggy, though - it would just mean that the materials were quite basic.

  • This was suggested but not sure which folder the script would be saved in so Poser 11 can correct the lag:

Use the Collected Scene Inventory Script to save the Scene out to a Folder created in the Shared/Public Folder

  • Do I need a Poser Core installer? and what is a Poser core  installer?

That's actually a new product -- there should be two zips, one labeled DS and one labeled PS.  His products are sometimes pretty big in required resources.  In the DS version you can quickly turn different elements off and on to reduce the lag; I don't know if the PS version can do the same.

A Poser core installer is a zip file in Poser formats, like the PS version of this product.

  • I am lucky I have a beast of a PC (Asus gamer) and a bells and whisltes macbook pro so they can handle anything. This mountain trail is beautiful and have even fought through the lags to get some of it rendered but it's crashed my Poser Pro 11 4x already so very frustrated. My other Daz buy has no problems and works perfectly. Daz not answering my question as to how this can be fixed.

Fixmypcmike if you know the vender can you forward my issues on please, been trying for 3 days and would like to use it instead of a refund.

    Cheers, SB

    What's the support ticket number?

  • Daz literally just responded after yours bascically saying the same thing and I am not in agreement. I need to work with the entire scene before I start taking things out as that's what I paid for.

I am asking for a refund, very dissapointed but will just have to search more content, thanks for helping, SB

Ticket #248211: Mountain trail purchase not working

  • After many days trying to understand and get help, some content issues becoming clear but still leaves questions.

If you buy content that is considered large even with powereful comp sytems...will they always lag or crash Poser?

Taking out objects helps correct the lag but when you'r ready to render and have added back in objects, how do you know what's too large before Poser crashes again?

Also why are there no warnings or buyer beware on content so you understand what you are buying and how it works in Poser?

Any advice would be appreciated on this topic, thanks, SB
