Mesh Distortion with G3M based figures

I've recently started having an issue with every single G3M based character I own.  The arm roots at the back distort horribly if you bend the upper arm more than about 60 degrees.

This is something new.  I've been using G3M for years without any difficulty.  I've attached a render.  I've also submitted a help ticket.  Just interested if anyone else is seeing this or might be able to offer any suggestions.

  • What G3M content did you add recently? Try uninstalling each one temporarily until you find the one that caused the problem.

Load the base Genesis 3 Male. Open the Parameters pane and click on the menu (little icon with three lines). Check Show Hidden Properties. Then select Currently Used. Do you see any morphs listed there that shouldn't be dialed up in the base G3M?

It might be a JCM. Move G3M's arms to the position where you see the distortion. Do you see any strange JCM morphs apear in Currently Used after moving his arms?

Looks promising.  I found two hidden morphs that do effect the problem area.  Dialing them down to 0% pretty much solves the problem.  I found them on M7 as well, plus one other.

Problem is, I can't figure out what product they're coming from.  One is named "pJCMShldrUp_35_L", and the other is called, "S1MSKNWLV_ShldrDown_JCM_R".  How can I track down what installed these and uninstall it?

  • Skinchangers by Sixus1 Media; the S1M in the JCM name gives it away. Try uninstalling that and let us know if it fixes your problem. Also, check to see if there is an update in DAZ Install Manager as there was supposed to be one to fix one of these. If you have the latest, contact Customer Service and let them know about this so je can be informed and it can be fixed.

Thanks so much.  I used Install Manager to uninstall Skin Changers, and I deleted the install package, but the morphs are still there.  Any suggestions?

Hey, that did it!  I had to uninstall Skin Changers via DIM, and then install it via Smart Content Manager in order to get it to update properly.  Problem totally solved.  Thanks a million!!
