    now I definately am not upgrading to a computer with Windows 8 anytime soon!!!

    maybe running as administrator might make it stick?
    I also heard Carrara will not run on Win8
    it is certainly looking to be a major Microsoft SNAFU
    try to buy Win7 and install it prob the best solution ;-P

    The licensed modeller, customizer and re-distribution modules had some installation issues when we tried to install to a Win8 workstation. Which is why they are still installed to a Win7 workstation. We don't bother with the exporter as we don't generally use DS in the pipeline. In fact, the Win8 workstation may not even be a Win8 workstation anymore.

    If the exporter did not generate sales of the FaceGen software, SI may no longer consider it a priority.
