Metadata update failed: 2 items succeeded. 1 item failed.

At startup of Daz Studio Pro, I am seeing a little message at the bottom of the window saying "Metadata update failed: 2 items succeeded. 1 item failed."  Any idea what that is about, and what I can do about it?  Is it something I should be concerned about?  :D

It probably means that there is an item which is not meeting the rules, and so its metadata (for categories, Smart Content etc.) isn't being read. If you look at Help>Troubleshooting>View log you should be able to find the details, and then if you would please report the bad product to support (via a ticket) so it can be fixed. As long as you can find the content to load it the metadata should not generally be a major problem.

Okay, I've grabbed out the relevant chunk of log, what should I be looking for?  Among other things, I notice:

Looks as if Genesis Starter Essentials is the issue - which is very odd. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Okay, uninstalled Genesis Starter Essentials and Genesis Starter Essentials PT or whatever that other one was called, then went and clicked reinstall of those two on the other pane of DIM... and it quickly reacquired the PT one but boy did it take a LONG time to redownload Genesis Starter Essentials.... then I had to manually tell it to actually install the two once it had finished downloading them.  Funny, I thought it was set to auto-install once the download was complete.

Anyway, I don't see that Metadata Update Failed error at startup of DS now, so I guess that sorted it.

edit: Okay, I quit out of DS and launched it again, and this time I saw that error again.  oO

I don't know why this is happening to you, it isn't to me. Were the Starter essentials installed via DIM or Connect?

Just about all my stuff from Daz3D was installed with DIM.  I tihnk I might have poked Connect ONCE ages ago, but I have no recollection what stuff if any I'd installed with it.  On the other hand.... is Connect the one that lets you install updates to things from inside the Daz Studio Pro interface itself?  I ask because I think I've once or twice let stuff update THAT way, but I don't recall if it was Starter Essentials that was one of those, probably wasn't though, but.....  Okay, how would I check something like that? oO

Connect will update from within DS, downloading only the changed files, but only for content installed with Connect.
