Getting rid of indicators in scene

Trying to do a screen capture and want to NOT SHOW any indicators or markers or bounding boxes or anything.
How do I get rid of ANY sort of interface icons...If I switch the TOOL to node select, it gets rid of the universal tool's big scope.
What else can I do?
Around this item, that + sign never goes away. It doesn't render, but I want anything like that gone from the stage while I'm working. Help lol
Any ideas ?

Can't tell what that item is, so I'll call it "Item".
Go to the Scene tab, find Item. Right click on it, choose "Expand" > "Expand from Selected"
Look for anything that has a big sideways "H" in front of it, and hide it (click on eyeball icon at far left)
If that doesn't work, try hiding other things.
If none of that works, sorry, I'm out of ideas.
Switch to node select and make sure nothing is selected and move cursor off viewport?
Just render it with basic settings!
Okay, it's attached to a GROUPED ITEMS bounding box.
If I make all the individual pieces invisible, it's still there.
If I turn the group invisible with the one EYE ICON click, all the associated items turn invisible along with the bounding box and + indicator.
Can you make the group invisible and then make the individual parts visible one at a time?
"make sure nothing is selected"
As fixmypcmike said, deselecting anything in the scene should get rid of any indicators.
Nulls will show axis even when not select since they have no geometry it is the only way to tell where they are, for them you have to close the eye icon.
So maybe this object has some kind of null in it and that's the plan. Thanks all.
