This is About Unbelievable. I was having issues with G3Fs skin Whiting out or Rendering all wrong, (But thats another thread.) so I thought I would compare it with my V4 Claudia Toon. Shes an Old V4 Toon so no wierd Shaders of IRAY nonsense.

This is the Safest toon I have, I've done hundreds if not thousands of Renders with Claudia, specs, Gothic Long Hair, BodyStocking and all. So I test this in 3delight; shes bald, researching this there seems to be a plug in; but thats years old and I've never that problem before this patch. Even under IGL (which I think has been hosed up because I have used that extensively for years as a Layer.) The Render is way too Dark, and she is still bald so the 3delight plug is is probably not the solution.

So I pulled up a Scene I did months ago, I believe I was on 4.8 at the time. Never had any issues with Claudia's hair in that Scene; now under the new patch, even the BGL renders her Baldheaded. While the Gothic Long hair has always had some Transparency and I've had to render it in layers and fix in MS5 its been worth it to use the product; but this, this is absurd. And as the BGL should be giving me basically whats on Screen; I would love someone to explain to me what this nonsense is all about?

I'm almost beyond words; certainly beyond polite ones.

Looks like another poster had the same issue a few months back but no reply, no resolution.  https://direct.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/144736/items-disappear-during-rendering

I seem to have found a partial Solution in an old Thread; https://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthread/14367/

As you can see applying a GeoShell to the Gothic Long Hair; then reapplying its Textures caused it to Render.
Somehow the whole Process gave my Brandi Figure a terrible case of heat stroke. in IGL Base and 3DeLight look better for Brandi, but Cs Porcelain skin has never looked good under 3Delight. .

    Thanks Jay.

Again not Amature Friendly, how could I or any reasonably Casual user be expected to work out any of this? Just recreate the whole product Shell, Texture and all, and the Render engine will magically find the 2nd instance. Oh yea. Of course I was just BORN knowing that ..but hey, if solving one problem did not create at least two more; I might actually create some art this weekend. It's a shame I spend so much time wrestling with the nuts and bolts of this forever half baked program. Time I would much rather spend on art.

Found this old set of 3Delight scripts; the link is still good just downloaded them tonight. Seem to work just fine.

Final Fix: By completely deleting the GLH product, then reloading and fitting it from scratch I was able to get it working again. Probably should have tried that sooner; but this is my primary toon; and through Hundreds of Renders, and multiple upgrades this has never been necessary before, and I still think its utterly ridiculous that it should be, that proven and trusted presets cannot be trusted under the new patch; thats progress somehow.

Have you checked the Opacity channel?  It is not unusual for Poser materials preset to make objects invisible as it has transparency and Studio has opacity, 100% in one has the exact opposite effect in the other.

Thanks Jes, dont think that was the issue, but I will keep it in mind.
