Epic Props God Rays Does not work in Iray

I cant seem to get this prop to work. I follow the steps in the tutorial but in the end it comes out looking like crap, how do I fix this??

Sometimes you have to render some of these types of effects before they look right. They don't always work in the viewport unless it is set for Iray.

Be sure you click on the rays and then select one kind of surface (fx, etc). Then you have to click on material to set it.

It took me a bit to figure out how to set the materials properly but once you do it should be cool.

If your prop looks solid white in preview pane, you haven't set the material
