Need help exporting Daz animations to Unity (and having them play back right) (G3 / G8)

I am wanting to use Daz to create animations for chracters (morphs and skeletal) and export them to Unity, and generally get things exporting fine as an FBX, but am having  issues with the character not playing the animation back correctly from Unity.  It looks like some of the bones are wrong, typically the legs, and I have no idea how to get things working properly.

I can map a Unity animation properly to the character, but the exported animation that comes with the very same character doesn't play right.

I'd definitely appreciate help getting this last part sorted.  Also if there is a good tutorial on how to handle morphed animations from Daz to Unity, I'd appreciate seeing that too.
