How to get the new powerpose view for Victoria 8?

mikekmikek Posts: 195

I have seen a couple posts and videos about powerpose for Victoria 8 with this view:

But I'm not able to get this. For me it looks like this with victoria 8:

I have downloaded the "Genesis 8 Starter Essentials" and "Genesis 8 Female PowerPose Templates" files and copied the content to my content folder. Victoria 8 is there so that did work but the powerpose part isn't available. Daz studio version is 4.9.4.117. Is there an extra step to get the new powerpose view?

On Mac it's under Window > Panes (Tabs) > PowerPose.  In other words, it's grouped with all the other tool panes.  Click to open and drag the PowerPose window into one of your workspace views as a tab if you want continued quick access.

The face has two views, which you get to by clicking on the head.  First view is a simplified version, second view is the one you posted in your question.

I get the PowerPose window but the problem is its only the basic view. All I can manipulate in the head view is head, neck and eyes. There is no dial for lips, chin and so on. I can also only switch between body, simplified head and hand. In this video they have 2 head views and each view has much more dials than I have:

You press the blue arrow on the head again for a more nuanced Power Poser & then again for the simpler Power Power. Same on the body too.

Make sure you have the Genesis 8 Powerpose Templates installed.

The powerpose window looks like this for me without an option to press the head a second time:

The Powerpose Templates show up in the installed tab but there seems to be something wrong with my installation as I tried to install it on a second PC and there it works with the new view. Not sure why it doesn't work on my main PC. The PC where it doesn't work has multiple base directories maybe DAZ studio gets confused by this? I have tried booth to manually copy the files into the folders and using DIM to install it (which lists it as installed) but none seems to work. My guess is I have to reinstall DAZ studio to fix it as it works on the second PC without extra steps.

The Genesis 8 Powerpose Templates needs to be installed to the same library path as Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials.

    What I would do is:

    1. Figure out the library path you used to install Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials
    2. Uninstall with DIM: Genesis 8 Powerpose Templates.
    3. Change the DIM install library path that was used in step 1.
    4. Reinstall with DIM: Genesis 8 Powerpose Templates.

    Edit: Added Steps

Ok its working now. Not sure why, is it possible the Powerpose Templates have to be in the original content directory? Because when I'm using that one it works. I had booth the Genesis 8 & Powerpose tempalte in my own content directory on a second hdd. After moving the powerpose template to the original content directory its working now even when loading genesis 8 from the second hdd. Thank you for the help.
