URGENT: Viewport's gone blank!

This suddenly happened to me for no obvious reason (see attached). Now all I see are selections but absolutely nothing appears on the viewport! Wehn I tried to render everything showed up once, and it was all black the other time. Restarting my computer and clearing the temp folder didn't help. Just what is going on here!?

    Click on the little square box up beside where it says camera 10 and choose the third last entry in the drop down.

    you just have it in bounding box view, you can see the little box icon next to the camera 10 as Fishtales says

    you have a range of icons you can chose, textured is usually default but often I use shaded wireframe

    don't pick the bottom iray one unless you actually want to see iray interactively have a good Nvidia card and a small scene.
