Texture Help

Hello

I have been having a problem lately getting custom textures to appear as I have made them, my biggest problem is that the textures when used on the gen 3 models tend to look much darker than they should do. I was wondering if there was a setting that would help make them match what they should be like. To that end I have attatched A copy of the model that I am currently trying to sort the texture out, the body as you can see does not match the head even though they are the same colour before rendering in Iray

Any help would be welcomed as it may help future projects

The first thing I would do is check the Gamma values for the images in Image Editor

(Click on the base color image - choose Image Editor from drop down) -

All my color maps have Gamma 0 & Bump/Normal have Gamma 1 - I do not know if it matters what they are just they must be the same for each surface

If Gamma on the head is 1 but on the body is 0 that produces a much lighter head color when rendered.

If that doesn't find the problem then perhaps the surface settings are slightly different - In that case I generally go to surfaces then select Face & Torso and scan through the surfaces for a ? that indicates where I made the error

There may be easier ways to find errors but this has worked for me many times
