Several Installed Content Items Not Showing Up in Daz Studio 4.9

Hello. Sorry to have to post here but I opened a help ticket up last week and haven't received a response yet but really need to get this addressed for a project due on Wednesday. I am having a problem that I am aware others have had (content missing from the Smart Content Pane). However, all of the "fixes" I've been unable to find online have not worked. Here's a summary of my situation:
1) Installed Daz 4.9 using Daz Install Manager (DIM) on Windows 8.1 Pro
2) Installed a large number of Daz products I own using DIM
3) Although SOME content shows up in DS, there are significant items missing including a couple Stonemason sets, the Genesis 3 female figure and numerous others.
4) The items that do not show up in DS also are shown without the "checkmark" indicating they are installed in DIM
5) I have tried re-importing Metadata, rebuilding the Content Database, verifying the install directory is the same in DIM and DS, reinstalling everything, etc. etc.
THIS IS MADDENING. I'd happily call Daz but the phone number no longer gets you to a tech person. My help ticket was automatically acknowledged saying they would get back to me "soon". I have a project due and cannot access several content items that are critical for completion.
If anyone can point me to a solution I would be most grateful.

"Smart Content" is not the only place to find your content. Try your Content Library tab.
The check mark in the Installed tab of DIM indicates that the item has metadata for the Content Management System. If there's no check mark then that product won't show in Smart Content. It will show in the Content Library pane in the folder installed to under Poser Formats or Daz Studio Formats. You can check the location from DIM by right-clicking on the item and selecting View Installed Files
Thank you for this information. It looks like this will allow me to use the content. May I ask a couple questions?
1) Why would so many of these items not have any metadata for the Content Management System? Some of these items, such as Stonemason's Streets of NYC, are popular and current. Did Stonemason fail to provide metadata for this particular product?
2) Is there a way for me to add metadata for the Content Management System? I find the Smart Content directory quite useful.
Streets of NYC is an 8-year-old product, and Daz is still in the process of adding metadata to older items. It's more of a priority for items like hair and clothing, which need it more (to identify which figures can wear them and which textures apply to them.
Yes, for a set like this the main thing you would want to do is categorize it, which you can do by selecting the items in Content Library, right-clicking and choosing Categorize. For more details on creating metadata see http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/packaging/tutorials/adding_metadata/start
I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to share such useful information. This really makes a difference for me. Thank you!
Thankyou so much for explaining the difference between the content library, and smart content. Phew. Was having the same problem- all content found. Cheers.
