Legality of Selling Art

If there are individuals who wish to purchase art I've created--along the lines of a graphic novel--with content I've purchased from Daz, am I legally permitted to do this?  I apologize if this is a question that has been asked before.  Thanks very much.

Any 2D work you produce is yours to do as you please. Unless there's 3D mess distribution involved then you won't have any problems :)

    Check this as well

as long as you use content that states commercial use allowed

Nearly all DAZ content with one exeption the Marie Goddard clone for V3 is fine.

where you need to be watchful is freebies by third parties on sites such as ShareCG or linked on the forum

make sure they have a readme outlining any restrictions

a noncommercial personal use freebie in your render can even stop you entering competitions with prizes.

  • Thanks for the feedback.  I did go and look at the EULA, but legal-speak always makes it sound like no matter what you do, you're screwed.  I was using the thousands of dollars worth of content I bought over time to play around with a comic I was trying to put together.  A couple of online friends saw some pages and remarked that they would pay for such a thing, and that I should look into marketing it.  Well, right away I started thinking about what sort of legal entanglements might be involved with using purchased content.  I have no skill at making my own content, but I've gotten pretty adept at creating nice, comic-book-y compositions with it.

This is the important part of the EULA, as far as you are concerned
