It states clearly on the product page that the free item is subject to Rendo's $3.50 minimum purchase in order to check out. That means you HAVE to buy something that's at least $3.50 in order to get the dress. Otherwise the system won't allow you to check out.

I got it and didn't have to buy anything! It goes through the checkout process, but you can just download it without actually making a payment.

Despite what it says, you can get it without buying anything. I am sure it's temporary as I believe the item was originally made to be for sale and is only giving it for free for the next couple days for Christmas. If this was a mistake, would it not have been corrected several days ago?, as I am sure someone must have mentioned it to them long before now.
Apparently it does work. For some reason Rendo tends to be very slow for me, and I forgot to give the site enough time to load.
Altough it doesn't seem to be much advertised yet, It looks like most (if not all) of the Christmas freebies are back. Just do a shop > All and change the sort order to "price - low to high".
This is probably a quick catch-up. So if you want any of them grab them NOW!

When i was reading i read that it isnt subject to minimum purchase, but now i checked it and it says that it is. Not sure what to say, now it works, i used 3rd payment option (pay with money, voice ect) and got this one for free too (though it is a texture addon for market product). I know that before a week or two i couldn't get freebies without minimum purchase.

Please note, as has been said before, any item from a non Daz 3D Commercial store which requires a purchase from that store will not be allowed as a freebie item in this forum, as it constitutes an off site Commercial ad, which is not allowed by the DAZ 3D ToS

I got it with NO other purchase - don't care what page says - try it first before making a judgement.
But don't worry, I won't sully your little universe here, I won't bother to post any others I find. My condolences to the other posters.
Put the item in cart, checked out, used cash payment choice, got the item. Just as others above said about the items above.
it doesn't require a purchase.. and while it is it textures for a product, I will still find it useful .
We can only go by what is said on the product page. Someone should ask Rendo to make sure the wording is correct on pages like this.
For what it's worth, I was able to get it, without purchasing anything. When the page comes up asking for payment info, I just clicked the next button, did not put any payment info in the form, and it went through fine. I think Rendo has only started doing 'freebies' this way recently, though. Maybe they just need time to fix the wording or kinks in the freebie-checkout process?
When the page comes up to enter payment details, I just leave whatever they have in the blanks and click submit. No problems yet.
