Saving as jpeg

Hello. Experienced input desperately needed here please. I have managed to produce a couple of Toon Army pix for a friend. I have worked out how to save them as a jpeg and all seemed fine until I emailed the pix to him but the DAZ information borders are showing as well eg Share - Zoom - Slideshow - Draw - etc etc. Please see attached pic.

Is it possible to save the pictures for onward transmission, or indeed to save for future use, without the DAZ borders.

Thank you as always.

Well that's made me feel a bit of an Ultra Maroon. Having posted the pix on the forum here I note that the borders have not appeared. The borders have certainly appeared when sent as an attachment to an email.

Any comment would be welcome..........................as would any critique of my first attempt at producing pictures with DAZ S.

Thank you and have a nice day.

    Robert.

Those aren't renders they are screen captures of the main window. You have to hit the render button at the top which will render the images in whatever you have it set in the render settings.

WOW! That was quick. Thanks Fishtales (Sandy) I'll investigate further. I note your time signature is the same as mine, interesting, where are you based?

Hi Sandy - Great, I'm English living in France. Ex-Military (Retd) I've just got into this GCI game and really enjoying it but a steep learning curve for my old brain. The things I am struggling with are saving to jpeg (properly) and importing 3rd party materials into my DAZ library. I have a friend, also ex-mil who is an author, written 3 thrillers and a childrens bbook, he's asked me to illustrate the kids book. After monthe of trying to learn to draw, paint, cartoon, manga, anime etc etc I came across DAZ, you can see my 'slow' rogress in my previous posts.

You may be better off posting to the New Users help forum,  You can pick up lots of info and help there  https://www.daz3d.com/forums/categories/new-users

And I have the same time zone, cos I am in Wales.

OK Chohole, thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot. The guy who wants the illustrations (see previous posts) is Welsh. We are great friends except during the 6 Nations.

    You have a nice day.

Again, thanks for your valued input Chohole. Iechyd Da ?? I always thought my friend was pissing around when he said that to me but I guess it's real Welsh speak. My sister lives in Wales and is really into learning to speak the language. I have another friend (WOW! So many friends) who lives at and is restoring, Gweryfed Park house and grounds. Do you know of it?

    Enjoy your week-end.

I don't know it, but know of it,  I am the other side of the Brecon Beacons.  area known as The Heads of The Valleys.  We moved here in 2009, so been in Wales for 8½ years now, and struggling to learn some more welsh.  My Welsh Father-in-Law didn't teach me very much.

Hi Chohole. My apologies, I  had not realised that you had posted a further reply. Coincidentally I (We) moved to Normandie - France in 2009, retirement. I too am struggling to learn the language but I'm getting there, well able to order a glass of wine and a croissant. Fortunately my wife, Kathryn, is fluent. I always fancied myself as a failed watercolourist (that means useless) so was delighted to discover DAZ3D but it's a bit of a learning curve I think you'll agree. I have to say, the forum is/has been great I've learned so much from other more experienced artists, great bunch of people.

Ahh! The Brecon Beacons...............Ahh yes, I remember it well...............ex-Military.

BTW my spelling was a bit out in my previous post it should have read 'Gwernyfed Park' I had lost and 'n' somewhere.

I've attached my latest effort and would like to make the ground a little more realistic and I have also asked the forum how to show shadows. Any suggestions?

    Have a nice day.

Cat_Dancing, that looks as though you are rendering with 3Delight, rather than Iray, correct? If so, you need to select the lights that you are using under the Scene tab, then check the settings for those under the Parameters tab. You will notice a setting called Shadow, and selecting that will display several options. If the Shadow Type is set to "None", that is why you have no shadows. I would suggest that you change it to "Raytraced', rather than "Deep Shadow Map", but you can experiment yourself to find what produces the best results for you. You will also notice you can change other parameters there as well. You probably should just leave them as is for a toonish look, but you can play with them to see different effects if you wish.

Hi SixDs. Thank you for your helpful comment. You're quite correct, I am using 3Delight rather than Iray. I have to admit that I'm so new to DAZ3D that I do not understand Iray yet. I have printed your response and will get right on it as soon as I've clicked on 'Post Comment'

Thank you again for your response.

    Have a nice day.
