Quest for Peaked Biceps - Genesis 2 or 3?

in New Users
I've seen some discussion about Gen3 being about 10% less detailed than Gen1 in terms of the mesh and all.
I'm guessing that the choice I face now is familiar to most of you already - Genesis 2 or 3?
I don't intend to do animation, much less video-game model creation.
What I really want to be able to show is a set of biceps that can be properly peaked when flexed. With the default options, the biceps muscles don't really change shape when the elbow is crooked, making for a strange-looking lump instead of a natural look.
Which model will allow me to do that, taking into account the available muscle morphs in the store?

I'd go with G3. Not much new content out there for G2 any more.
These will do what you want. They have a Flex control

Also you can check out the "MASSIVE" packs by RawArt in the store and see if they work for your need.

These are super useful as well

Thanks for the links!
Do you know first-hand if any of them will allow the proper peaked-biceps look?
Will the Flex control for the Musculature morphs work that way?
I will almost definitely get the massive and vascularity ones too. :)
You best bet would be to go to a website that explained the required poses a body builder must do in competition and what they are looking for in each of those required poses. They should have an 'ideal' picture for you to use as a reference for each of the required poses. Then you can take that set of references and compare it to the 'Muscular HD Morphs' in that bundle although right off hand you can see much of the HD vascularity is missing in the ad copy of that product although it might be part of the product as either extra morphs or texture sets to match the morphs. It's still the closest a product comes to creating the look of a competition body builder though.
and if you cannot find something ... have you already give the D-former tool a try ?
HaHa, no, just but once. I tend to just use bought products and their presets in between running outside to do a work and back inside to post too much in the forums. I really need a second computer so I can program and learn to model while renders run.
