I finished my second contesst entry. Here is a cropped version showing off Kern's (Rendo) vamp fangs courtesy of Fangtastic, which I found to be an easy to use and fun product with lots of fanging options. I know that just sounds wrong.
Full version is in the gallery and the It's Raining Men Contest thread.
WOW WOW WOW is all I can say along with maybe I need a bucket in asile 2 for all the damn drool happening here!!! OUTSTANDING work World!!!
Thank you @saphirewild and I'll get that bucket for the both of us lol
Woot I got my third It's Raining Men contest entry in. It's on the contest thread and in the gallery. I'm putting a color shifted (using topaz labs) copy here so they don't all look exactly alike. Oh, the character is marc but with Kieron skin, mostly because I didn't want the whiskers that Marc comes with and I couldn't see a way to turn them off (but there might be one that I didn't notice or know about). Products list is in the gallery.
I wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
You too Happy Thanksgiving!
Nice action shot!
Your image is intriguing. What is the story...Is he fleeing for his life from the fire? Or is running from the scene of a fire he set? Or is he chasing the perpetrator who set the fire?
Trish
Thanks @icedragonart and @stormylyght Nonesuch001 suggested the character burned the turkey and kitchen down and is running away. I think I'll go with that LOL
Hah! Love it.
I saw that last one in the contest thread. Very nicely done. I think I missed the other one so I'll have to go back and look. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Thanks KM, I had a lot of fun with the contest :)
I was playing around a bit with Analia and doing a wee bit of kitbashing. I thought the lighting in this came out pretty good. On closer inspection, I do see a bit of grainyness. Either more light or longer rendering might have been better. I'm putting a slightly postworked version in the gallery.
I don't know I actually, like the grittiness of this render. It suits it.
Thanks @icedragonart!
Great renders, I love all your raining men entries, but especially the that last one, very dynamic scene.
Thank you @deathbycanon I'm happy with how that last one turned out, but I'm unsure about whether I may have done too much post work on it. I do love playing with photoshop lol
I'm trying out the Look At Me Post Control product and so far I love it. I usually have a lot of trouble making a character look directly at the camera or at an item or other person. So far, I've only tried the look at my camera option, but I hope to try two people looking at each other soonish. The character is Vincent.
This is before and after using the pose controls.
In this next one, I turned him to one side, then tried the look at the camera script again
I love that product! I've used it on almost every render I have done since I bought it lol. I haven't tried anything more than the look at camera option either but man, what a time saver!
Merry Christmas to all :)
Merry Christmas!
Thanks @icedragonart I just saw this, been busy with holiday stuff! Finally got back to rendering.
I finalized my Sakura render and made it more npr. The larger version is in the gallery. What I'm really happy about is that I'm finally at the point where I'm doing more kit bashing and it isn't taking me forever to do every little thing. Progress is awesome. My thanks to all in the community who are consistently helpful with passing on knowledge.
Happy Holidays! This looks really good. I love the concept. :)
Thanks @knittingmommy! Happy Wishes for the New Year.
I finally got a chance to try out rendering canvassas thanks to @Deathbycanon and her crystal clear video instructions. I really really like the ability to play around with my lighting in post work using this method and I think I'll probably end up using it for most scene renders. Need to test how colored lights come up, but I'm pretty sure they'll work as well.
Used canvases for rendering FWSA Khloe wearing young grace hair and wild nettle outfit.
Postworked version with new background is in my gallery.
Nice choice of colours for the background. It makes her pop out nicely.
Thanks @morimann I thought having a background that reflected the colors of her clothes and wings would either work because the colors would compliment each other, or that it could wash her out. It does seem to have worked well though.
She looks great, but I have to say I like the background you did for the one in your gallery, it really gives her a feeling of movement.
Ugh, I'm having trouble creating a manga boy. I was inspired by the Sakura thread where people are making boy versions of Sakura, or shaping other characters to fit here style. I particularly like @giselle3000s characters, but others are making really nice characters as well. My attempts so far are pretty bad. This one is the best to date, but I dunno - jaw looks all wrong, don't like the eyes (i like the lining, but not the shape or maybe it looks bug-eyed), neck seems too long - not sure what else is wrong with it. I guess I need much more practice with morphs/eyeballing shapes and proportions. If anyone has ideas regarding how I can fix this boy or if you think I should just start over, let me know. I did use the tofusan and @agentunawares manga head for g8m as a base.
I can get him better manga type hair and all, but it is the figure/face that I'm having problems with.
The eyes slant up to much at the corners. That's my first impression and I am by no means an expert on anime or manga.
