Where is Genesis 3 female and G3M ?

BendinggrassBendinggrass Posts: 1,373

I have been looking for the base figures for G3, and also for G2, but I can't find them.

I know they are supposed to be included with DS. I move items to categories for easy use.

Where are they located?

Thanks.

They should be in "My Daz Library" in the Content pane. Go down to "people". A new sub-listing will pop up: Genesis, G2, G3 and so on, (whatever you have) and each sub-section will have characters and hair, poses etc. - again whatever you have. Each new thing you get should fall into place in these sub-sections as well. Note that if you are using DIM it will have some "Genesis [whichever] Essentials..." downloads in the list, in addition to the .EXE executable DAZ Studio program. These are "additional" downloads that you have to get and install. Sometimes they get updated so it's something you might do more than once.

I think it does happen that occassionally things don't install properly. I'm not sure. I have one summer dress or something like that for the Kids 4, but when I click on it up pops what appears to be a Victorian surgical instrument or something from the Spanish Inquistion. Strange things do happen, but hopefully you will be able to install or re-install the items you need.

"I know they are supposed to be included with DS"

Not exactly. They are available for free and can be downloaded from your DAZ Product Library here on the site, but they are separate downloads from DAZ Studio itself. The downloads can be found under Genesis 2 Starter Essentials and Genesis 3 Starter Essentials.

    "Where are they located?"

Assuming that you have dowloaded as above to your DAZ content library on your PC, they should be found under DAZ Studio Formats > 3DContent > People > Genesis 2 Female, or Genesis 2 Male, or Genesis 3 Female, or Genesis 3 Male under the Content Library tab in DAZ Studio. Alternatively, they should be found under the Smart Content tab as well. Which are you using? Have you downloaded your content with Connect, DIM or manually?

When you say that you moved items to categories, do you mean within DAZ Studio, or have you organized the files on your hard drive into categorized folders? They are two different things with different implications.

Thank you both. I appreciate your help very much.

Now I can get back to having fun rendering.

I use the categories in my DS content pane. It makes it so much easier to get things as I need them.
