Texture Distortion

I've been tinkering with texturing and admittedly I'm a total noob, but I have run into a problem. I'm using the program UVMapper (free) to creature UV maps for an outfit. Now here's the rub. The suit I'm trying to design is for a fat figure and I'm running into distortion problems. See the pics below and please advise.

That's a limitation of uv mapping to apply textures - when the mesh stretches so does the texture applied. Your best bet would be to use a tool that allows you to paint onto the mesh when it is morphed - Blender will do that, though I've not sued it to know how friendly it is - so that the distorition is reversed and you get an image that looks odd but is sensible when applied. You may also try adjusting the UVs to reflect the distortion - squeezing the lines together where they will be pulled apart by the morph - or distorting the texture image so it is pulled straight by the morph - again squeezing it together where it will be stretched.
