Solved: New cloned hard drive problems...

:roll:I need help. I installed a SSD to replace the HD that DAZ, the Content Library and everything DAZ related was installed on. I cloned the SSD with the HD image. I've got the DAZ Studio & Poser Formats working by using the Preferences - Content Library - Content Directory Manager function. But I cant get the Other, Products and Catagories working. The Smart Content is also empty. I've tried re-importing the meta-data with out success. Any ideas?
Just dawned on me, would the content manager need to be stopped before the cloning?

Have you rebooted since cloning the drive?

Is the old drive still installed?

    Did the drive letter change?

    What operating system?

mjc1016, You are the man! Following your lead, I went back to the basics. The new drive had a new drive letter. I had changed the DAZ preferences to match the new drive. This didn't work . Re-set preferences & installed old drive to verify that I didn't break anything to bad. That worked. Then swapped the drives and changed the drive letter of the new drive to the drive letter of the old drive. REBOOTED. Voila, You fix! Thanks for the help:cheese:

Generally, I've found the easiest way to clone/replace drives is to do so outside the operating system (whether it is with drive manufacturer's utilities or third party or even a bootable Linux 'LiveCD') and then physically remove the original, before booting into the OS. Doing it this way usually puts the new drive at the same drive letter/location as the original.
