Preload Versus Ready To Render?

Newb quistions here, but what exactly is the difference between a preload scene and ready to render?

A preload is generally for a single product, usually prop sets, and won't necessarily have lights or cameras.  Ready to Render may be just the scene (although there's usually a companion bundle with all the products needed) and includes lights, cameras, poses, etc.
