How to Apply IRAY Water Shader

I've noticed a number of tutorials on working with water and they mention to create a geometry shell (which I did) but then it says they applied an Iray Water shader to the shell. How do you do this? I've spent a few hours searching for how to do it and a few more trying stuff but I can't figure it out. Anyone who can walk me through it?

Thanks!

You need to have both the geometry, the shell, seelcted in the Scene pane and the surfaces on the geometry that you wish to affect selected in the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane before you apply the sahder preset - this is true in all cases. Alternatively, if you want to affect the whole thing, just select the object and then hold down the ctrl key (Windows)/cmd key (Mac) when you double-click on the preset and in the dialogue that opens select all instead of selected for the surfaces to affect.

Thanks for the info. My problem is I can't find the preset in the first place. Where is it located? Smart Content?Shaping? Sh Sorry, I'm a noob at this.

If you look in the Presets tab of the Surfaces pane it should be under Shaders>Iray.
