Weird glow on characters. How do I remove that?

Hello everyone! I'm having a weird issue with one of my character models. A strange purple-ish glow appear at the bottom of the character. I've attached a sample.

Look closely at the bottom of her legs. Does anyone know how to fix that?

PS: I tried removing the lights and that didnt help.

Looks like a rflection from a purple shiny object...do you have a car or something similar not pictured in the scene that would reflect bright light?

Thanks for your reply, but there is nothing else. It's only the model. I just noticed however that when I remove any lights, this happens:

    laugh

Is this a test to examine the experts over here?
Did you use a 3Delight skin? Some strange vendors still use ambient to influence the color.
Turn that down to zero. Furthermore change glossy color to white, etc.

There are a lot of threads discussing the "best" iRay skin settings over here.

That isn't actually anything to do with the lights, it's a known problem that seems to crop up at random with the skin shaders. Save your current scene (under a new name if you want to make sure the previous saved scene version is preserved, just in case); close DAZ|Studio, wait (this is important) until all the shutdown bits and pieces work their way through, this can take a few minutes; then restart D|S and load your scene. The skin shaders should now work properly.

There is a way to clear out the glitched shader working files without having to close and restart D|S, but I can never remember how to find the files that need to be deleted.

Go to Preferences to learn where your temp folder is.  Navigate to the temps folder in Windows Eplorer or the Mac equivalant and find the "Brickyard" folder (should be inside "Shader" folder) and delete it.
