Runtime folder for DAZ Pro 4.5?

Hi
I'm sort of getting my head around DAZ. But I have a few newby questions, one of which is:
Will content that is installed into the Runtime/library folder work correctly in DAZ 4.5, or do the folders inside the Runtime/library folder need to be inside DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library folder?
Thanks

Yes you can just add the runtime folder to the library. Open the Content Directory Manager and add the runtime to the Poser format tree
Thanks for your reply.
Under the Content Directory Manager, My Library is all ready linked to the Poser tree. The Runtime folder is located inside the My Library folder, therefore wouldn't the Runtime folder all ready be linked to the content library?
The Default DS content Folder My Library does have a Poser Runtime folder in it. All content installed properly into the My Library folder or its default Runtime folder will show up and work properly.
Things to Consider. ONLY content that has Metadata will show up in the Smart Content Tab. To find items that do not have Metadata files you will need to use the Content Library Tab to find the Content you install. Check both Formats in the Content Library Tab when looking for none Metadata (Smart) content. Most will be in the Poser Formats>My Library folder.
I Hope this helps.
Thanks Jederall
When you think you've solved the complex directory structure of DAZ, something turns that makes you doubt your confidence.
I think my confusion is fuelled by DS3 content that installs slightly differently to the more up to date content.
I recently downloaded my first content that ended up as a zip file, which needs to be manually installed by inserting relevant files into their correct directories. Problem is - the instructions provided are for installing for Poser.
When I thought I'd got it right I finally dropped the .dsx executable into the Support folder, but even after Re-Importing Metadata the product still didn't appear under Smart Content.
Are there some products that won't appear in Smart Content or is everything meant to be available there?
Most OLDER files (That means things before Genesis and DS 4.0) were made to work in a default content Library. This NEW Smart Content started with DS 4.0 and Genesis, so the answer is this.
MOST content for sale on most 3D sites will not be in Smart Content. Only Genesis and Updated files (with Metadata) will be in Smart Content. And most of that only includes Genesis Items from Daz3D. I personaly ONLY use the Content Library Tab in DS 4.5 because I know ALL my content (If installed properly) will show in it. Smart Content is great, but I'm sure if I only used it I would miss out on some very good items that I want to use in my 3D.
I knew someone was going to tell me that the older content can only be accessed through Content Library. It's not te end of the world, just tat Smart Content is so handy.
thanks for all you help, much appreciated.
If you're savvy, you can create your own metadata for content, so that it appears in the Smart Content tab contextually. You can find out how in the post linked in my signature below. While it's for an older version of Daz, not much has changed in how it is set up.
