Premade light sets for Iray. Why do I always have to move them?

I bought a couple light sets because lighting confuses me. I figured they were in a preset configuration and would automaticallylight the way each preset looks. However, I import them into my scene, and the lights are everywhere, some in the ground, others way high, other spotlights not even shining on my figure. Am I doing something wrong, or does one just have to move all the lights around and guess where they go? So confused..

Is the figure at the origin? Are the lights said to be for general lighting, not for a particular scene?
The figure is where Daz puts it in the scene. I don't move them. And yes, the lights are just general light packs.
I would, generally, expect the lights to work with that sort of configuration. Remember that with Distant lights only the direction matters, it doesn't matter where the light node is palced, and that if the lights are meant for portrait work without a set having them under the floor isn't an issue. However, lights that aren't pointing at or at least clipping the focal spot would seem a bit odd.
I'll have to take a picture next time I see it. The main light ends up behind her pointing away usually, and maybe the one in the floor was a distant light. I'll have to check, didn't think of that!
