Uploading 3rd Party Content

Help! I'm super new to DAZ and I'm trying to get a hold of the program before I use it. I downloaded this adorable BB8 from Renderosity and I don't know how to make DAZ install it/open it/literally do anything with it. According to the pre 4.0 discussions and the instructions, i've done everything correctly as far as the files go. They are where they're supposed to be. But the directions then say it should come up in props with its own folder and it does nothing. Can't search it, just nothing. But the files are pulling from the right folders. So what do I do now? Please help? Thanks.

I think this has Poser and Daz studio versions - which did you download? You need to merge the Runtime and Data and any other folders in the same place in the zip with those already in your \DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library folder (or whatever location you use for content), then you should see the files in the Content Library pane under Daz Studio Formats>My Library>folder from the zip or Poser Formats>My Library>Figures (probably)>the folder that was in Runtime/Libraries/Character in the zip.
Ok, so I wasn't pulling them individually into those runtime folders. I did that and now they show up (awesome) but it's telling me i'm missing runtime/geometries/vp/starwars/bb8.obj but i don't even have that as an option.
Thanks!
Nothing should have been placed individually - anything from the zip that is on the same level as the Runtime folder (it sounds as if that's the Poser versions, so the Runtime is probably the only thing) gets merged into the My Library folder - if this is Windows you can just drag the Runtime from the zip into the My Library folder and say yes when asked if you want to merge them, Mac users have it a bit harder) - and the files should all be shuffled into the correct place. I was saying look at the zip to see where the user-facing files are - Runtime/Libraries/Character/ some folder, and possibly other files in other folders in the Runtime/Libraries folder - and take that as aguide to where to look in the Content Library under Poser Formats>My Library>Figures - so Runtime/Libraries/Character/VPStarWarsStuff in the zip, for example, would mean you looked in Poser Formats>My Library>Figures>VPStarWarsStuff in the Content Library.
