Daz crashes at startup, me to.

The bug tracker says:

DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\nvoglv64.DLL" at 0033:000000006E4ADD72, DrvValidateVersion()+30946 byte(s)

Is it because I've got the newest drivers of Nvidia 1080 (twice)? (Version 378.66)

    From the log it may be the content folder that's messed up. Go to preferences and try redirecting the content folder to an empty foder. If DS starts up then it's not a driver issue, it is something in the content folder that breaks down DS.

    It's an nVidia driver crash - nvoglv64 would be nVidia OpenGL 64 bit. Trying a slightly older driver might be worthwhile.

    also "OpenGL provider: Microsoft Corporation" may indicate the gfx drivers are not installed at all ..

  • Padone, I think that you are right with the content folder. Because I didn't do a driver update but I had previous problems with the content folder. So the error message is wrong. But how can I go to the preferences if Daz doesn't startup?

  • It works again. Perhaps the "error" was due to my special setup. I am using Daz Studio through XDisplay on an Ipad 3. When I attached a real monitor it worked again, also with XDisplay on the Ipad.
