animate2 help on getting started

Well I've gone and done it this time! I decided to try my hand at animation and bought animate2. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good tutorials for a newbie. I saw the animation forum but a lot of the links are either missing or outdated. Does anyone know of any good BASIC info in plain english for those of us that are new?
