Playing with layers

I love playing around with layers and am just beginning to learn Daz. I know I have a long way to go, posing in particular gives me problems. On the left is my original untouched render and on the right is after messing around with it in Photoshop. If you have any comments or know of any good tutorials out there for this type of image manipulation I'd love to get the links.
