Save as support asset crashes

I've tried a few things from g3m to genesis and v4 to genesis with the following exceptions. Each time taz ctd's upon file save. This has worked for me in the the last version. I'm using 4.9.3.166
DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\dzcmsconnector.dll" at 0033:00000000E97FD0BB, DzCMSConnectorMgr::refreshCategoryRoots()+155 byte(s)

It looks like a CMS issue of some kind, are the database views (Smart Content, the Presets tabs in parameter panes, and the Products and Categories lists in Content Library) working normally? Can you save regular files (scenes and presets)?
On startup I get the following message:
A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established. Several Daz Studio features that require a valid PostgreSQL CMS connection, such as context aware content views and loading content installed using the Daz connect service will not be available. Check your network, anti-virus, and firewall settings for conflicts.
The Smart Content tab is blank, even with the default genesis figure selected. Perameters, Shaping and Posing tabs all work fine. I can save regular scene files and scene subsets from the file menu and from the tab preset menu, I can also save character presets, and material presets from the content library pane as well. My content all shows up, refresh will bring up any new content changes that may have occured while Daz Studio is still running. I just now made and saved a genesis character using the shaping tab (I never use that) and saving the character, material and scene from the content library and file menu with no issues.
BUT, trying to convert as a support asset consistantly causes a ctd. It doesn't matter what I'm saving from and too. This has worked in the past. I've successfully converted G3 clothing to genesis, for instance. I've done all the fiddling with firewalls and whatnot that I can do, including uninstalling zonealarm (which caused Daz to quit functioning no matter what I allowed) and Daz/postgre cms and reinstalling a few times. That never solved the initial cms issue with smart content not working, but I've always had no issues with saving as support assets. This is a new issue that's a bit baffling.
Well, ZoneAlarm is known to conflict with PostgreSQL. Did you perhaps run DS as Admin (actually run as Adminsitrator, not just run from an administrator account) while trying to fix the issues? That can cause the permissions on the database to be wrong, potentially blocking it from working (DS should now refuse to run as admin but that is relatively new sorry, that was incorrect - but it remains true that running as administrator is to be avoided as it can cause serious issues).
I uninstalled zonealarm not long after I got it, it was causing too many issues. I had to uninstall Daz and reinstall. I still had the same CMS Smart Content issue though. I've had that from the very beginning. As I mentioned. This CTD issue is a new one. So far I have no idea what's causing it. I used it maybe a month back with no problems. The only thing I can think of is a glitch from updating, but I can't remember if I used Save As Support Asset before or after I last updated.
Whatever the case, zonealarm is not the issue, that was dealt with last year. Running Daz as admin...I wasn't aware that could cause issues. I may have? I'm not sure. Maybe I need to completely clear Daz from my system and reinstall...again. Does Daz hide anything in directories other than program files?
The database folder, which may be the thing with permission issues from running as admin, is in the AppData folder - /Roaming/Daz 3D/cms/ContentCluster by default but you can check that in Edit>Preferences>CMS Settings tab in DS.
The app data folder was set to none in the CMS settings tab, so I pointed it to Roaming/Daz 3D/cms/Content Cluster, but I still get the same 2 errors:
This one:
DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\dzcmsconnector.dll" at 0033:00000000E46BD0BB, DzCMSConnectorMgr::refreshCategoryRoots()+155 byte(s)
and this one on Daz startup:
A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established. Several Daz Studio features that require a valid PostgreSQL CMS connection, such as context aware content views and loading content installed using the Daz connect service will not be available. Check your network, anti-virus, and firewall settings for conflicts.
I tried saving as support asset.figure/prop again and got the same CTD.
If you right-click on the Content Cluster folder and seelct Properties, then go to the Security tab do you see your own user name listed in the top box (Group or User Names)?
Yes. System, then me, then Home Users, and lastly Administrators.
OK, that sounds right. Unfortunately I'm now out of things to suggest.
Well, I'm thinking I'll have to completely gut Daz from my system and try reinstalling. Still, thanks a lot for trying lol.
