From the last sentence in the first paragraph it looks like it's 3Dlight only.

Macro Skin puts high-end, industry leading proven techniques for improving realism in your hands with the click of a Material(s) preset, and unlocks the hidden power of DAZ Studio's 3Delight renderer.

It will "work" with Iray, but is not directly intended for it. One of the main features of Macro Skin is its bump and normal maps for adding fine detail. Iray can use these, too, though they tend to come across a little strong. After applying the MS presets, apply the basic Iray Uber shader (it has no textures) to convert the surfaces to Iray. You may need to then tweak some of the nodes, such as strength of the normal maps, which contain the pores and other features.

If you're not familiar with hand-adjusting shader properties you may want to practice some before taking the plunge. I liken this to not using oil paints right out of the tube. For most work, they're meant to be mixed to create subtle tone, and mixing is the art of the art, so to speak.

Will it be better for G2F? http://www.daz3d.com/beautiful-skin-iray-genesis-2-female-s I am looking for some shaders that nicely show folds wrinkles ect.

Don't have the Beautiful Skin product so I don't know. It seems like a completely different product, though, and might be worth it just for the other things it does. I got Macro Skin specifically for its pore maps, and I didn't want to take the time to make my own.
