Geometry Surface

Hello all,
I can't find the action to permanetly assign a new surface to a figure. I've done it before but I can't remember how to do it. It gives the warning dialogue box.
thanks!

What warning?
It says that this action will permanately affect the figure. do you want to proceede? i guess the uv map. because I have to make a separate texture according to the new surface.
Creating a new surface won't create new UVs, but you will need to give it textures and settings (most easily by applying the base shader and then copying from one of the other surfaces). Does that mean you have found the option, or is that what used to happen?
Ok, I believe it means that the figure that you bring in a scene from the content will permanately change not just the one you modified for a scene and everytime you take it from content the modification is there. ie. the Hitman Sunglasses has one surface and I wanted to add different shaders to the lens for glass or mirror etc. I edited the lenses and assigned a new surface "lens". this action if I choose to use will change the sunglasses permanately in the content. so everytime I go to hitman and choose the glasses from the content that surface will be there. the only way to change it were to remove it from content than reinstall the product again. that's why it says warning.
No, if you don't save the modifed version over the old as an asset that shouldn't happen - the changes will otherwise be saved in the scene, or in a Character Preset loaded as a new figure I think.
