What would stop DIM from extracting an image?

I've been using the content package assistant to make all my stuff from other sites such as ShareCG and Renderosity DIM compatable
However, I've now run into a 2nd product where the DIM fails to extract a simple image from the zip and the whole package fails (The first one is the warhammer terminator suit from Rendo and the 2nd one is now the Alien Egg from shareCG). I don't think the problem is with the CPA, I can manually extract and view the png's and there's nothing wrong with them and no special characters in the name.
I've even tried opening the file in Gimp and resaving it but that doesn't help.
Could not extract file : I:/Daz3D Library/Runtime/libraries/character/HG_Creations/AlienEgg/AlienEgg.png
Product installation failed : Alien Egg
Could not extract file : I:/Daz3D Library/Runtime/libraries/Props/assault cannon/assaultcannonrelease/textures/METALOX.jpg
Product installation failed : W40K Terminator

Ok, I think I've got this figured out now.
I originally installed all this stuff manually (except stuff exclusively from DAZ which I installed through DIM)
I always forget what I have, so when the CPA came out, I jumped on that as it now adds all those items from other sites to the alphabetized product library list which I use exclusively when setting up scenes.
Well the problem came from some of the original files being marked as read only from the original package so DIM can't overwrite the files already there. Perhaps it could be added to the DIM log file if it's trying to overwrite a "protected" file instead of just saying it couldn't extract it as I thought there was either something wrong with the zip or something wrong with DIM this whole time.
