I seem to have done something stupid to my parameters tab

I seem to have accidentally done something stupid to my parameters tab, and I can't figure out what I did, or how to undo it.

To explain it most succinctly, I should say how the parameters tab worked for me before.

Say I'm looking for a property, like "z scale" under "transforms."  If I had "transforms" highlighted, all the options of the subtabs of transforms (translate, scale,  rotate) would be visible: translate xyz, scale xyz, rotate xyz.  If I was jsut int he top heading for an object and I typed "z scale" in the filter window, it would show me z scale.

Since I accidentally did said stupid thing, if I type "z scale," instead of coming up, it will highlight the menus I have to click to get to it.  And If I click "transforms," nothing in the list is there until I click under its subheadings.

I hope that makes sense, and that it is an easy fix.  Sorry if it is a stupid question.  Thanks in advance.

  • There's a check box at the bottom labeled "Show Sub Items". Unchecking it seems to replicate your issue, so the solution may be as simple as rechecking it.

Hey, you're good.  I hadn't noticed that, perhaps because of its placement.  I can now find parameters again without clicking through tons of menus.

I had probably accidentally unclicked the box with a sloppy mouse passover, or when my system was getting bodded down and the mosue was moving slow.

    Many thanks, Murgatroyd!
