DAZ keeps crashing

I recently installed Water Spring from the DAZ Store, but every time I try to pull it up in DAZ Studio, Daz Studio crashes! What should I do?

    What version of Daz Studio (Help>About Daz Studio)? What is the viewport display mode (the little sphere icon next to the camera/view button at top-right of the viewport).

    Well, 32 bit is limited in how much it can load - the Water Spring is a large file. But you didn't answer the exact version of DS you are running.

    OK, that is the latest version.

    I was thinking of a different product, but I do have Water Spring - loading it added over a GB of memory usage to DS, so if your system is tight on RAM (how much do you have?) that could well tip it over the edge to a crash.

    Sorry I took so long to reply. I have 4 GB of RAM, 3.25 GB usable. Is there any hope of being able to load the file with that much RAM?

    What does your logfile tell you about the crash anyway? That should give you some hints as to what's causing it. You should be able to locate this in AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4. Or use the 'Help' function I suppose (help menu => troubleshooting => view logfile).
