DazStudio 4.9 Background Image Distortion Help

I want to add a picture I've taken for example on my phone and when its added as a background image on DazStudio the image is distorted so I can't render the final product because the background is all squished How do I insert while still retaining its dimensions?? ): This is really bugging me!

I attached an image as you can see the background is squished. If i want to put my figure against real life backgrounds this isn't possible.

The aspect ratio of your render needs to match that of the photo - set in the General group of \Render Settings' Editor tab.

i see. and how do you find the aspect ratio of a photo?

The aspect ratio of an image may be determined using the ratio of width to height. For example, an image that is 800 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high would be 2:3. An image editing program should provide an indication of the aspect ratio, but where might vary from one program to another. Look for pixel aspect ratio. Alternatively, note the number of pixels for width and height shown under image size in your image editor and use that to set your render size in DAZ Studio, and the background and the image should match.
