Flipping/mirroring Geografts

So I have some ideas for geografts for limbs, but I'd REALLY like to not have to completely do node weight and rigging all over again for each one.
Any tips or special steps that can make this easier?

One option is to make a symmetrical version of the figure, rig one side and use symmetry to get the other sde rigged, then if you want to have single-sided versions use the Transfer Utility to rig them from the symmetrical version.
Oh hey. That doesn't help me with this one I've done, but that's definitely a good option for additional stuff.
Can you do symmetrical node weight stuff, too? Can you transfer node weights?
Only, as far as I know, within a single figure.
Maybe I can make a symmetric pair of hands/legs/whatever, and then delete one side? Something to try.
