Problem opening Retro SciFi Bodysuit for Genesis 2 Female(s) in Poser 11

I just bought Retro SciFi Bodysuit for Genesis 2 Female(s) and some other goodies today, however Retro SciFi Bodysuit for Genesis 2 Female(s) which looks awsome , whcih is why I got it, is rather silly since it requires DSON Importer for Poser which looks like some sort of script thing that supposed to access something in order to load the clothing figure into Poser. I installed the poser zip file manually, and installed the DAZ studio (4.9) version through the auto-installer app thing. I prefer working in poser for still images/renders and have been for years, though prefer DAZ studio for doing animations. But I am not working on any animations, but a still image which I would be working in poser ... and cant load the clothing Item

I get an error that it cant find the DSON module importer, this is annoying and silly , and also it cant seem to find the related texture files, they are probbably in the DAZ Studio Runtime.

Is there a way of exporting the clothing prop figure from DAZ to Poser 11 , so that it would work ?

  • That means the DSON Importer is not isntalled correctly - the Genesis 2 content is in DSON format (DS native format) and so you need an importer to load it into Poser, which has to go in the Poser applicatrion folder in specific sub-folders. It would be better to do a DIM install. Since it is in the application folder you may need to allow the Mac to run it with elevated privileges - I'm not sure how that works on Macs.

  • Ok thank you, I have found your response, I found it hard to find i find it hard to navigate in this forum han what it used to be, many apologies,m I was starting to panic and worry if my posts were being deleted for nothing.

Thank youI would take what you have told me and see what I can do to solve this, I might have to do this on my bootcamp with the windows versions and then move it over to the OSX drive.

  • I'm not sure that the plug-in is cross-platform - I thought it included compiled code, which would be different for MacOS and Windows.

  • I have found a work around, loading it in DAZ studio and exporting it as a cr2 file as a conforming figure, it just means I have to re-edit textures etc, and I can deal with that.
